Acculturation and Transitions

Be sure to read through the lecture notes and listen to the podcasts before starting this activity.

Once you have done so browse through the readings and then,
as you are familiar with the range of issues around acculturation and transitions,
provide a brief account of a intercultural transition or acculturative experience.

This could be something that you yourself have gone through or that someone you know might have gone through.

Try to discuss both the challenges and benefits of your acculturative experience.

As usual, also reply to others’ posting in considering how there is a variety of acculturative experiences.
